Beyond Mass-Produced Solutions

qSmartEntry card reader with RFID

Our goal with the qSmartEntry system was simple: to move beyond the limitations of rigid, mass-produced access control. We recognize that every business has unique security and automation challenges, so we built a platform designed for unprecedented customization. Our core strength lies in full control over both the hardware and the server software, ensuring we can meet any specialized requirement.

A Foundation Built for Integration

The controller's design is built for seamless integration. It features 4 configurable digital inputs for monitoring external events and 2 extra relay outputs for managing external devices. Coupled with flexible 4-door/4-reader assignment and direct LAN/Wi-Fi communication, your setup is instantly simplified. This modularity is key: we are ready to adapt the hardware—adding more I/O, sensors, or actuators—and tailor the server software to meet your exact, evolving needs. qSmartEntry is a security and automation foundation built to your specifications.

Flexible Architecture: The 4x4 Powerhouse

4x1 configuration
2x2 configuration
1x2 + 1x1 + A configuration

The 4-door, 4-reader system offers strategic flexibility. Your configuration is a choice between the number of controlled doors and the required level of monitoring, as the maximum reader capacity is four.

Configuration Options:

Uni-Directional (1 Reader/Door): Maximize coverage up to 4 doors.

Bi-Directional (2 Readers/Door): Use dedicated Entry/Exit readers for Anti-Passback. This allows for mixed setups, such as 1 bi-directional and 2 uni-directional doors (4 readers total).

Time & Attendance Only: Readers can be dedicated solely to reporting functions without activating the door-opening mechanism.

External Event Monitoring: 4 Configurable Digital Inputs

The power of qSmartEntry lies in its ability to react to its environment. The 4 configurable digital inputs transform the controller into a smart monitoring device, ready to integrate with your existing security infrastructure. These ports can be set to either contact-based or level-triggered operation, ensuring seamless compatibility with virtually any third-party sensor.

Usage Examples:

Door Forced Open: Connect an external door sensor to monitor for forced entry attempts, triggering an alarm notification on the server.

Door Held Open (DHO): Automatically flag when an authorized door remains open longer than a defined period, preventing security breaches and saving energy.

Emergency Integration: Link to your building’s fire alarm or emergency stop system. In a crisis, the system can instantly disarm all necessary doors for safe evacuation.

Panic Button/Request to Exit (REX): Use the inputs for a physical panic button or an external push-button (REX sensor) to trigger an immediate, localized action.

External Device Control: 2 Auxiliary Relay Outputs

Beyond access control, the 2 auxiliary relay outputs allow you to turn the qSmartEntry controller into a central automation hub. These relays can be activated remotely, based on user events, time schedules, or specific logical commands from the server software.

Usage Examples:

Local Alarming: Activate an external siren, strobe light, or buzzer directly at the door upon an attempted unauthorized entry or forced-open event.

Smart Building Integration: Turn lights or air conditioning ON when the first authorized person enters the office in the morning, or OFF when the last person leaves.

Elevator/Gate Control: Integrate with external equipment such as an elevator control system or a parking barrier, allowing the system to grant access to secured areas or floors.

Indicator Light: Activate an external visual indicator (e.g., a green light) when the door is successfully unlocked, providing clear status confirmation in noisy or public environments.

Advanced Credentialing & Readers

Your access points should be as flexible as your controller. The qSmartEntry system supports a multi-credential approach, enhancing both convenience and security. We offer two premium reader types, both featuring an integrated Keypad for PIN authentication:

Standard Reader (RFID + Keypad):Perfect for permanent employee badges and reliable PIN entry.

Advanced Reader (RFID + QR + Keypad): Our top-tier model adds QR code support for easy visitor access, one-time passes, temporary workers, and quick clock-in/clock-out procedures.

This flexibility ensures that all users—from permanent staff to short-term guests—have a secure and easy way to enter.

Scalability & Security: Built to Grow

qSE Cluster

We designed a single, highly efficient, clusterable controller that fits every business, from small offices to large enterprises. This cost-effective, single-unit approach simplifies manufacturing and allows you to easily build massive, cohesive networks by connecting multiple qSmartEntry controllers to a single server instance.

For peace of mind, all communication between qSmartEntry controllers and the server is secured using military-grade encryption, protecting your sensitive access data and configuration from external threats.

Beyond Access Control: Time & Attendance and Reporting

The qSmartEntry server transforms raw access data into actionable business intelligence. Our system provides far more than just door control—it offers built-in Time & Attendance features that simplify HR processes for everyone:

Employee Convenience: Your employees no longer need to manually record their start and end times. The system automatically registers their actual entry and exit events, simplifying the entire time-tracking process.

Employer Reliability: Employers gain access to accurate, reliable data based on the true timestamps of employee clock-in and clock-out events. This eliminates guesswork and provides a dependable foundation for payroll and HR reporting.

This means you get powerful, automated reports on movement, security events, and workforce hours—all from a single, centralized platform.

Reliability and Connectivity: Engineered to Perform

The qSmartEntry controller is built for uninterrupted performance and simple deployment:

Dual Connectivity: Choose the best fit for your infrastructure with both a robust LAN port and built-in Wi-Fi capabilities. The system communicates directly with the server without the need for complex, proprietary adapters.

Always On: An integrated Real-Time Clock (RTC) maintains perfect time accuracy, even during power loss. For critical access points, the system features a built-in UPS option to ensure the controller remains operational and secures your entry points during outages.

Simple Deployment: Flexible connectivity combined with direct server communication makes installation straightforward, significantly reducing setup time and infrastructure costs.

Intuitive Management: The Server Software Experience

A powerful access system demands equally powerful, yet simple, software. The qSmartEntry server platform is designed for operational efficiency, putting you in control of your entire security network from a single, centralized dashboard.

The interface focuses on clarity, ensuring that even complex tasks—from configuring door access groups to adding new controllers across multiple locations—are fast and intuitive. This centralized approach not only streamlines daily management but also acts as the ultimate hub for all your security events, workforce time tracking, and customizable reporting. Spend less time managing software and more time managing your business.
